Isshin-Ryu was created by Shimabuku Tatsuo in 1957 after he studied the styles of Goju-Ryu and Shorin-Ryu. Grandmaster Angi Uezu is the son-in-law of the system's founder and has been a lifelong Isshin-Ryu practitioner beginning his training in the late 1960's and becoming a black belt 3 years later. On this DVD, Grandmaster Uezu introduces Bo techniques then walks you through Bo Katas Tokumine no Kun, Urashi no Fun and Shishi no Kun no Dai and finishes with Bo Kumite (sparring). In easy to follow steps, he shows these katas from multiple angles, multiple speeds as well as demonstrating the bunkai (application) of each kata.
