He explains the history and traditions of Kenpo and talks about the kicks of the style being mainly directed to the lower body to save time. Kenpo's use of a wide array of kicks, punches, elbow strikes, knee strikes and finger strikes are explored. The premise of always being aware of your surroundings, using what is available as a weapon, balance, coordination, flow and speed are all a part of the style. In Kenpo, you never try to select a specific technique in the middle of a sudden, violent altercation but you just let your body do what Kenpo training has already ingrained in you, mainly drawing from your trained subconscious.
